Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ActionConnect collects, uses, and safeguards information when you use our website and platform (the "Service").

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide when you sign up — such as your name, email, institution name, and chosen subdomain — and information needed to operate your workspace. We also process the content your institution stores in the Service on your behalf, which may include information about students, applicants, and staff. We collect limited technical data (such as aggregate, privacy-respecting analytics) to improve the Service.

2. How we use information

We use your information to provision and operate your workspace, provide support, communicate with you, secure the Service, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Data isolation and storage

Each institution's data is stored in a dedicated, isolated database and storage bucket. The Service runs on Cloudflare's infrastructure (Workers, Pages, D1, R2, KV, and related services). Access between institutions' workspaces is structurally prevented.

4. How we protect data

We designed the Service with student-data privacy in mind. Protections include an isolated database per institution, single sign-on (SSO), directory sync, an audit log, and role-based access controls. We are actively working toward formal compliance milestones; we do not currently hold a SOC 2 certification and make no claim of FERPA compliance, and we're glad to discuss our practices and roadmap with your IT and compliance teams.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use minimal, privacy-friendly analytics to understand site usage. Our marketing site does not load analytics scripts unless analytics are explicitly configured, and we avoid unnecessary tracking cookies.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain workspace data for as long as your account is active. When a workspace is de-provisioned, its dedicated database and storage are torn down as part of our offboarding process.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.

8. Updates and contact
